From Sign Company to Design & Fabrication Leader:
How ARIA Is Helping Shape Houston’s Built Environment
Recently featured by the Houston Business Journal, ARIA Signs & Design was recognized for its remarkable growth from a two-person startup into one of Houston’s leading design and fabrication companies.
The feature highlighted ARIA’s evolution beyond traditional signage into architectural fabrication, custom metalwork, public art, experiential design, and large-scale construction solutions. For founder and CEO Shaya Attaei, the recognition reflects more than a decade of dedication to elevating the built environment through thoughtful design and innovative fabrication.
“From day one, our goal was never to be just another sign company,” said Attaei. “We wanted to combine architecture, design, engineering, and fabrication to create projects that improve the spaces people interact with every day.”
Founded in 2013, ARIA Signs & Design has grown to nearly 200 employees and now completes approximately 800 projects annually. The company serves developers, architects, healthcare organizations, municipalities, hospitality groups, corporations, and national brands throughout Texas and across the United States.
What distinguishes ARIA is its ability to provide a fully integrated solution under one roof. Design, engineering, permitting, fabrication, project management, and installation are all handled internally, allowing clients to move from concept to completion with a single trusted partner.
Over the years, ARIA has expanded far beyond signage. Today, the company designs and fabricates architectural facades, canopies, feature walls, custom metal structures, illuminated architectural elements, wayfinding systems, public art installations, and landmark signage projects.
Expanding Through Strategic Growth
The company’s growth accelerated further in 2025 with the acquisition of National Signs, one of Houston’s most established sign manufacturers. The acquisition expanded ARIA’s capabilities, increased production capacity, and strengthened its ability to support large-scale regional and national projects.
To support this growth, ARIA continues investing heavily in advanced manufacturing technologies, including CNC machining, fiber laser systems, 3D printing, robotics, and research-driven fabrication methods. These investments allow architects and developers to pursue more ambitious designs while keeping fabrication local and cost-effective.

Looking Ahead
As Houston continues to grow and evolve, ARIA remains focused on helping architects, developers, and business owners transform bold ideas into reality.
The Houston Business Journal feature serves as an important milestone, but for the ARIA team, it is also motivation to continue pushing the boundaries of design, fabrication, and innovation.
From landmark signage and architectural features to public art and experiential environments, ARIA Signs & Design remains committed to its mission of creating projects that leave a lasting impression and help shape the future of Houston’s built environment.
